Take it easy
This is a perfect place for couples to enjoy some relaxing time together. Kumamoto city is filled with attractions that will make you want to visit again and again, with its changing scenery throughout the seasons.
Day 1
- 11:00
- Arrived at Kumamoto Station.
Transfer to the Kumamoto City Tram and take it to Karashimacho Station in about 12 minutes.

- Arrived at Grids Premium Kumamoto.
The lobby features a front counter inspired by Kumamoto, the land of water, and eye-catching motifs using Kumamoto's traditional crafts, bamboo work and inlay.
- 11:30
- Leave your heavy suitcases at the self-cloakroom and head out to explore the city.
- The self-cloakroom can be used from the day of check-in until the day of check-out.
- 11:40
- Kumamoto Castle is a 10-minute walk from the hotel.
Take the time to admire the castle's changing appearance with each season and reflect on its recovery from the earthquake.

- We will visit the Kumamoto Prefectural Museum of Art, located across Ninomaru Park from Kumamoto Castle.
The tiled museum, designed by leading Japanese architect Kunio Maekawa, houses Rodin's masterpiece "The Kiss."
In addition to these, there are six other art galleries and museums scattered throughout Kumamoto City.

- Return to the hotel and check in.

- Before heading out for dinner, enjoy tea time in the business lounge, which is exclusively available to guests. Coffee, detox water, sweets, and more are available, so you can relax and unwind.

- Shimotori Arcade, a 3-minute walk from the hotel, is Kumamoto's most lively shopping and gourmet district.
You can stroll around without worrying about the weather while enjoying the local atmosphere.

- Enjoy the flavors of this long-established Kumamoto ramen restaurant, Keika Ramen, which was founded in 30.
The medium-thick, firm straight noodles are coated in a rich soup with chili oil, creating an exquisite dish.

- Return to the hotel and enjoy a relaxing sleep.

Day 2
- 7:00
- Caldera Kitchen on the second floor of the hotel serves a breakfast buffet full of Kumamoto specialties.
"Kikuchi Hinohikari rice from Kumamoto Prefecture" and mineral-rich "organic vegetables" will give you energy to start your day.
- 9:00
- We headed to Suizenji Jojuen Garden, which is about a 12-minute drive from the hotel.
After touring the beautiful gardens and Izumi Shrine, take a break for tea in the Kokin Denju Room inside the garden. You can also enjoy traditional sweets made with the Hosokawa family's secret recipe.

- After strolling through the garden, follow the history of great literary figures...
Behind Suizenji Jojuen Garden, you can visit the former residence of Natsume Soseki's Uchi Oe, the former residence of Koizumi Yakumo, and long-established bookstores associated with literary figures such as Mori Ogai.

- In the afternoon, you can appreciate traditional crafts such as bamboo work and Higo inlay at the Kumamoto Craft Hall. We also recommend trying out one of the craft experience menus that change daily as a memento of your trip.
Day 3

- Caldera Kitchen offers a wide variety of breakfast options, so you'll never get bored even if you're staying multiple nights.
- 9:00
- After checking out, we headed to Kumamoto Station.
Pick up souvenirs at Amu Plaza Kumamoto or Higo Yokamon Market, both located inside the station, and return home with memories of your trip.
