Day 1

- Take the airport limousine bus from Aso Kumamoto Airport to Kumamoto city.
To Sakuramachi Bus Terminal, the closest bus terminal to the hotel
Approximately 50 minutes.

- It is about a 6-minute walk from Sakuramachi Bus Terminal.
Arrived at the hotel.

- Leave your luggage at the self-cloakroom and head out sightseeing. You can use the self-cloakroom even before check-in, so you can move around freely.

- First, we had lunch at Katsuretsutei, a popular tonkatsu restaurant located in the new town, a 2-3 minute walk from the hotel.
Featured in the 2018 Michelin Guide Kumamoto/Oita and also featured in Tabelog's Top 100 Tonkatsu Restaurants, the tonkatsu is immensely popular with foreign visitors to Japan.

- Afterwards, we walked to Kumamoto Castle.
Enjoy some popular sweets while strolling around Sakuranobaba Josaien, located near the castle.

- Encountering Kumamon at the Kumamoto Shinkin Bank Head Office near Kumamoto Castle♥
It is a valuable photo spot known only to those in the know.

- We returned to the hotel and checked in smoothly using the self-service check-in machine.

- After window shopping at Shimotori Arcade, which is a 3-minute walk away, enjoy authentic Kumamoto ramen at Keika Ramen.
- The rich soup made from a combination of pork bones and chicken bones, medium-thick straight noodles, burnt garlic chips and black garlic oil are sure to become addictive.

- Return to the hotel and enjoy a comfortable bedtime.

The staff recommends the morning curry made with horse meat from Kumamoto.

Inside the station is Amu Plaza Kumamoto, the second largest shopping mall in Kyushu, which offers a wide variety of Kumamoto's signature sweets, local products, and popular Kumamon goods.
